About the Server

The SOL Preprints server aims to facilitate the early and open sharing of scientific research from the Latin American community in the area of ​​Computing, promoting inclusion, accessibility, transparency and technical-scientific quality. Offering an ethical and representative environment of the thematic and authorial diversity of the scientific community linked to the SBC and partner societies, the server seeks to expand the dialogue between researchers, educators, professionals and society. In this way, the expected benefits are:

  • Promote free and open access to recent scientific research developed in Brazil and Latin America in the area of ​​Computing;
  • Accelerate the dissemination of knowledge, allowing articles to be made available quickly, before formal peer review;
  • Foster scientific debate, the exchange of ideas and the visibility of emerging research, contributing to innovation and the formation of collaboration networks;
  • Value and strengthen national scientific production, with a special focus on students, young researchers, emerging groups and work developed in regions less represented in major international media outlets;
  • Reinforce SBC's commitment to open science, inclusion and equity in access to and production of knowledge.
